Respiratory therapists, who treat breathing or airway problems from a variety of conditions, have proven crucial for the treatment of COVID-19, a respiratory disease.

Respiratory therapists and other essential employees such as nurses, radiologic technologists and more are necessary for the efficient operation of UAB Hospital and UAB’s outpatient facilities.
