Do you or a family member have Non-alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH), sometimes referred to as fatty liver disease?

The UAB Department of Nutrition Sciences is conducting a 72-week research study to evaluate the effectiveness of an investigational drug to treat NASH. To qualify, you must be ages 18-75 with stable body weight and be willing to undergo up to two liver biopsies during the course of the study. Qualified participants will receive study drug, EKG, and physical exam free of charge. There is no cost to participate and compensation for time and travel is also available.
