Recent studies have shown that a new vaginal ring containing a drug called Dapivirine is effective in protecting against HIV infection. A new study at UAB is looking at comparing this vaginal ring to two others, containing the same drug at higher doses. The study involves 10 clinic visits over a period of about 3 months. During this time, you will be randomly assigned to 1 of 3 treatment groups and will be asked to wear a vaginal ring for a period of about 3 months. In order to participate, you must be on birth control for the entire duration of the study.
