Eight UAB employee and student parking areas now have reserved spaces for pregnant drivers, thanks to a nurse who suggested it to Andre Davis, director of UAB Parking and Transportation Services, during a monthly lunch-and-learn session in UAB Hospital.
The first spaces were designated in Express Lot No. 4 around a year ago and more have been added recently. Look for signs that signify reserved parking posted in the following locations:
“Providing expecting mothers with convenient parking options on campus is a simple, yet concrete way to show that UAB cares,” Davis said.
