UAB’s Comprehensive Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Deep South region, is home to more than 350 physicians and researchers recognized for their expertise in oncology. It is at the forefront of improving cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment through pioneering advances in chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, immunotherapy and nutrition. The center provides ongoing care to more than 20,000 cancer patients each year.
