Four candidates for the new role of vice provost for graduate and international education are scheduled to make public presentations to campus between Oct. 5 and Oct. 15.

After Lori McMahon, Ph.D., dean of the Graduate School, announced that she would be leaving UAB, the university developed a new position that aligns the leadership of the Graduate School with the Office of Global Engagement. The successful candidate will assume those two roles and also be the university’s chief international officer.

Each candidate will make a publicly accessible Zoom presentation, followed by a Zoom meeting with directors of the Graduate School programs. (Click on the candidate for the Zoom presentation link.)

Up to 50 people can attend the presentations in person in the Lister Hill Fourth Floor Atrium; advanced registration is not required.

Honors College Dean Shannon Blanton, Ph.D., is leading the search committee with support from the Isaacson Miller search firm.

A description of the position, application process and other search-related information and updates will be posted on the UAB Executive Search webpage as they become available.
