If you are between the ages of 18 -75 yrs and have a body mass index between 19 - 45 kg/m2 you may be eligible to participate in a study exploring how much oxalate (a normal product of the body, also found in food) is made by the body and eliminated in urine. Participation involves eating study-provided meals for 5 days, providing urine and blood samples, one imaging visit (DXA) and one day-long visit during which an intravenous infusion of oxalate is given. Study meals are provided free of charge and additional compensation up to $375 is offered. Individuals with obesity, overweight or normal weight, and with and without a history of kidney stones are all welcome to the study.
