If you are 18 years of age or older and currently taking the blood thinners Xarelto (rivaroxaban) or Eliquis (apixaban), you may be eligible to participate in a research study. This study is being done to determine how your kidney function affects how you metabolize Xarelto or Eliquis. The study involves keeping a medication log for one week and one (12 hour) visit to UAB where we will collect blood samples at different times during the day.
