We are recruiting adults for a walking study that examines the effects of different virtual reality environments on movement outcomes in individuals with chronic low back pain. Participants walk on a treadmill and perform reaching activities while viewing virtual reality scenes. You may be eligible if you have had low back pain that affects your daily life longer than 6 months. The study involves one visit to Spain Rehabilitation Center for a 2-3 hour study session. You will be compensated for your participation in the study. Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham are recruiting for studies that examine the effects of Virtual Reality Walking on SCI pain experience. Participants receive between $350 to $400 dollars for study participation. Transportation is reimbursed. Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 65 and have complete paraplegic injury. The Neuroinflammation, Pain and Fatigue Lab is currently looking for Veterans of the Persian Gulf War to participate in our research studies.  If you are male, between the ages of 39-65, and were present in the Persian Gulf between 1990-August 1991, you may be eligible to participate in one of our new research studies.  Veterans with Gulf War Illness, healthy Gulf War Veterans, and individuals with Fibromyalgia/ Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are all needed.
