ladder2Leadership is a valuable skill, regardless of where you are on your career path. In 2018, UAB Learning & Development is offering a leadership development program designed for all employees — from seasoned professionals in a formal leadership role to those aspiring to greater responsibility.

Leading at all Levels is a three-part series that focuses on leadership essentials including self-awareness, leadership expectations and communication skills for leaders.

“It provides participants greater insight and increased self-awareness by utilizing assessments and incorporating experiential learning opportunities,” said Organizational Development Specialist William Edwards. “Participants will create goals and work together to hold one another accountable to those goals.”

Participants will also have the opportunity to form relationships with colleagues across UAB, Edwards said.

Registration is open for the first cohort for Leading at all Levels, which will meet Jan. 30, Feb. 27 and March 20. Sessions will be held noon-1:30 p.m. in Medical Towers, and participants are expected to attend all three sessions to receive credit for the series.

Additional cohorts also will be available in the spring and fall.
