Webinar for managers to introduce UAB’s new onboarding program

Info online 492Becoming a Blazer, UAB's new campus onboarding program for incoming 01 full-time and 03 part-time employees, will go live Sept. 18. The program was developed by UAB Human Resources to provide hiring managers and supervisors with resources to help welcome, direct and train new employees.

Webinars to acquaint supervisors with the process will be offered 10:30-11:30 a.m. Sept. 6 and 15. Instructions for connecting are online at uab.edu/onboarding. There is a limit of 80 participants per session.

Included in the program is a Taleo Task List for new hires, a new employee website at uab.edu/newemployee, Discover UAB, electronic I-9, automatic ACT processing and an onboarding toolkit to help managers transition employees into their new role.

A new process for 04 irregular and 02 full-time temporary employees also is available.
