Makenzie is currently a T32 NORC pre-doctoral trainee examining the intergenerational transmission of obesity in a cohort of mother-child dyads. Her research interests are related to food insecurity and its effects on metabolic disease.

What are you planning to do after earning your doctoral degree?

I am hoping to partner with global or national organizations to aid populations that are exposed to malnutrition and food insecurity.
