Fourteen University of Alabama at Birmingham students from 11 different programs have been selected as semifinalists in this year’s Fulbright Scholarship Student Program competition, including Public Health student Ke "Kerri" Tang. This is the most Fulbright semifinalists in UAB’s history. Tang just graduated with a BS in Public Health concentrating in Global Health, and will complete her MPH in Maternal and Child Health Policy and Leadership this summer. Her Fulbright research project will be conducted in Görlitz, Germany, where she will study the predictors of physical and mental health in German kindergarten teachers, as well as the effect of teachers’ health on the quality of childcare.
