Dr. Sadeep Shrestha, Associate Professor of Epidemiology, was recently awarded the Quetelet Endowed Professorship in Public Health. This endowment pays tribute to Lambert Adolphe Quetelet for his dedication to science, especially in the areas of statistics and epidemiology. Dr. Shrestha's research interests include epidemiology, infectogenomics, vaccinogenomics, pharmacogenetics, and immunogenetics of outcomes and sequelae of HIV, HPV infection, and infectious diseases. Dr. Shrestha also holds appointments in the Minority Health Research Center, Center for AIDS Research, Comprehensive Cancer Center at UAB, and Sparkman Center for Global Health.
