Cosmas' mentor will be Sten Vermund, MD, PhD, Dean of the Yale School of Public Health, a former Director of the UAB Sparkman Center for Global Health, School of Public Health.

Cosmas will also partner with the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) and his mentor there will be Stewart Reid, MD FRCP(C), MPH.
