GRADUATION PSKnowing what classes to register for can be a stressful and confusing experience for many students. The Graduation Planning System (GPS) is a feature within Blazernet that provides undergraduate students with a simple and clear overlook of their academic plan towards graduation. It displays the classes that need to be passed, the academic standing and the amount of credit hours the student is required to have in order to graduate. It is a tool that helps students navigate and plan their academic journey at UAB.

It is hard to believe; however, another academic year is coming to an end. UAB’s campus is a-buzz with end of the year activities to recognize the successes and advancements among students during the past 8 months.  Amidst all of the celebrations, it is important for students to keep their focus on finishing the semester healthy so that they complete all of their courses to the best of their abilities.

ASBA Partners Offer Engineering Students a Different Kind of Internship ExperienceHands-on learning has long been a priority for the UAB School of Engineering, but for one group of 2017 undergraduates, education and experience are just two parts of a bigger picture.

This year, the School of Engineering is partnering for the first time with the Academic Small Business Alliance (ASBA) to pair engineering interns with local diverse business enterprises (DBEs). These enterprises include a wide variety of small businesses—from non-profits to entrepreneurial start-ups—and those settings add an element of community involvement that might not always exist in a traditional internship.
