The University of Alabama at Birmingham will host its 4th annual Creed Week from February 7-11. During the weeklong celebration, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and stakeholders will experience events and activities designed to showcase the five tenets of UAB's creed, the Blazer Way: Honor & Integrity, Diversity, Innovation, Service and Scholarship.
We invite everyone to join in and celebrate what it means to be a Blazer.
This year's schedule is as follows:
All Week
#ISTANDFOR Campaign | Tenet: Honor & Integrity
All Day | Virtual (@uab_blazerspirit) and HSC 1st Floor
Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to choose a Creed tenet and post a picture to Instagram with a caption finishing the statement, “I stand for (tenet).” Don’t forget to tag @uab_blazerspirit! They can also stop by the in-person mural outside the Off-Campus Student Lounge to add the tenet they stand for.
Creed Canstruction Competition | Tenets: Innovation and Service
All Day | Various Locations
The Blazer Community is invited to build a structure representing the Blazer Way using only canned goods, non-perishable foods, or toiletries. Judging will take place on Thursday. All items will be donated to Blazer Kitchen. Participants can register on Engage.

The UAB community is encouraged to wear green, gold, or Blazer attire throughout the week. Student leaders will be around campus with Blazer Way swag for those seen showing their Blazer pride!
Monday, February 7
Hip Hop for Humanity Featuring Rhymefest | Tenets: Diversity, Innovation and Service

Join the Black Student Awareness Committee, Blazer Spirit Council and University Programs Board for a discussion with a music producer and activist. In addition, participate in hip hop and creed trivia and DIY activities.

8:30 - 10 a.m. | Off-Campus Student Lounge (HSC Suite 140)
Join the Off-Campus Student Council as they share coffee and donuts with UABPD in appreciation for their service to the UAB community.
Study Supply Stand | Scholarship
10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | HSC 1st Floor and Sterne Library
Stop by one of the locations to answer a trivia question and grab a study goodie bag as we strive for academic excellence.
