The UAB Department of Student Multicultural and Diversity Programs is excited to announce the second annual Social Justice Conference. This daylong conference will take place on Sunday, April 8 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. as students from around Alabama gather to discuss the impact of social justice on college campuses. The student-led assembly will take place on the third floor of the Hill Student Center located at 1400 University Blvd.

Beginning with opening remarks by Birmingham Mayor Randall Woodfin, the conference will feature a series of workshops, panels and lectures focused on campus advocacy. This event is a great opportunity for any student who is actively involved in or wishes to learn more about leadership and the power of community activism. These sessions will also provide participants with access to knowledge and resources centered on social justice involvement.

This conference is free and open to all students attending college in the state of Alabama. Attendance includes free breakfast, lunch and swag from event sponsors.. To participate, please visit the SMDP website and complete the registration form HERE.
