28th Camille Armstrong Step Show WeekUAB’s Black Student Awareness Committee is back with its most anticipated annual event, the 28th Camille Armstrong Step Show. The step off kicks off on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Alys Stephens Center Jemison Hall. The show promises to bring out some of the state’s most talented National Pan-Hellenic Conference (NPHC) step teams, and serves as the finale to Camille Armstrong Week (Jan. 29-Feb. 3). Proceeds from the step show are contributed to the Camille Armstrong Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund.

The Camille Armstrong Memorial Scholarship Step Show was established to in memory of Camille Yvette Armstrong to assist deserving African-American students in pursuit of their academic goals. The scholarship fittingly commemorates Ms. Armstrong – once a student at UAB – for her student leadership skills and exemplary undergraduate career before a tragic motor vehicle accident led to her untimely death. A former political science major, Ms. Armstrong’s memory lives on at UAB; her hard work and dedication as a UAB Ambassador and member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been the continuous inspiration for this event. This step show serves as a fundraiser, making it possible for UAB to financially assist deserving African-American students majoring in political science.

The Camille Armstrong Memorial Scholarship Step Show is one of the largest step shows held in the state of Alabama. Come out and support BSAC in its dedication to the life of Camille!
