Supporting Students

Disability Support Services (DSS) and Delta Alpha Pi, the newly founded honors society for students with disabilities, are partnering to host DREAM: Student Conference. This free, three-day event is Oct.11-13 and will consist of various speakers, workshops, information sessions, self-help tips and more.

The conference will kick off with a panel of student activists who will discuss “Defining Activism and Working for Campus Change.” The second day will feature Kay Ulanday Barrett, a multi-talented artist and proud supporter of the transgender community. The event will conclude with Storm Smith, who is known as the first woman with a hearing impairment to work at a leading advertising agency.

This conference is intended to help students learn the value of inclusion and making campus experiences more accessible for all. The goal of this event is to help foster better leadership and relationships among all Blazers.
