Join your fellow students on a trip to Montgomery to rally for more state dollars for Higher Education.  Let your Governor and Legislators know just how important that funding is to your education.  Buses leave on Thursday, March 1st.

Feedback from students said that Jazzman's could use a little update, too, now that it is sitting next to the shiny new information desk.  UAB and Sodexo listened and will be closing Jazzman's / Freshens Cafe on Friday, November 11th to begin work.

No, nobody's burning the dorms down (for those of you that just got a little excited).  It's Fire Safety Week 2011, and UAB is going to burn down a mock dorm room on Rast-Blount lawn to demonstrate how quickly a safety hazard can turn into a fatal situation.  Grab some free pizza, soft drinks, and t-shirts while you're there.
