Men for Violence Prevention

Men for Violence Prevention is a semester long dialogue focused on masculinity. The dialogue is geared towards male-identified UAB students. The program has participants critically address questions such as, “What is masculinity?”, “How did you learn what masculinity is?” “Has your idea of masculinity ever prevented you from doing something you wanted to?”, “What is male privilege?”, and “What role does masculinity play in violence?”

Recovery Ally Training

Wellness Promotion and the UAB Collegiate Recovery Community are constantly striving to foster an environment where students in or seeking recovery feel accepted by their peers, are encouraged to share about their recovery, feel comfortable asking for help, and are celebrated by the UAB community.
