Bici Coop

The Bici Bicycle Cooperative is a community bike shop whose goal is to create easy and equal access to cycling by providing affordable bicycle maintenance, services, and education, and being a forum for shared bicycle knowledge, activism, and community.

Bike Link

Bike Link believes in getting the wheels rolling, any style of riding, anywhere you want to go. The Wenning family opened Bike Link in 1995 and it remains independently owned and operated. Bike Link proudly supports Triathlon, Bmx, mountain, and road racing in the Birmingham area. They also take great pride in the fact that recreational riders look to Bike Link for quality, comfortable bikes.

Biker Splat

Creating a biker friendly culture at UAB and in the Birmingham area. Biker Splat's is focused on increasing biker awareness and a safer biking community.

Birmingham Bicycle Club

The mission of the Birmingham Bicycle Club is to promote safe cycling for fitness and recreation for people of all ages.

Bob's Bikes

Bob's Bikes is a family-owned Homewood & Birmingham, AL bike shop founded in 1973.

Cahaba Cycles

Cahaba Cycles offers a variety of biking commodities including new and used bikes, safety equipment, apparel, repairs, events, and information about local biking routes.


The CommuteSmart program, an initiative of the Regional Planning Commission of Greater Birmingham, was created in 1999 to help alleviate traffic congestion and reduce air pollution in Jefferson and Shelby counties. CommuteSmart encourages individuals to change their commuting habits and educates them on cleaner modes of transportation. Some of these methods include carpooling, vanpooling, bicycling/walking, teleworking and transit.

Redemptive Cycles

The mission at Redemptive Cycles is to redeem the streets. Getting people on bikes makes Birmingham a more connected, comfortable, and livable city. Bicycles are affordable transportation, which not only fight congestion, parking shortages, and pollution in the city center, but also boost individual health and fitness!

Trips for Kids - Birmingham

Trips for Kids Birmingham is a non-profit service organization that provides mountain bike outings, environmental education and an Earn a Bike program for underserved youth. These programs are supported by sales from a bike thrift shop (ReCyclery).

Zyp Bikeshare

Zyp BikeShare is a dense network of 40 kiosks and 400 bikes deployed in Birmingham, AL in October 2015. Residents and visitors can access 24-hours a day, 365 days a year. Riders can check out bicycles for short rides through annual memberships or by swiping their credit cards.
