School/College/Central Unit Logos
A lockup combines the UAB logo and a school/unit identifier in a single graphic image. In order to establish greater brand consistency — and with the understanding that many people who see our communications are not familiar with the UAB acronym — President Watts has asked that we use the full university name in the logo and limit lockups to UAB schools/colleges and central (VP-level) unit.

Centers and Institutes
Centers and institutes with multiple funding sources — such as multi-institution grants — may have a compelling need for their own brand. These entities may be granted sub-brand status within UAB's brand standards. Lockups for centers and institutes will be at the discretion of Marketing & Communications.

Internal Unit Logos
Internal unit logos have been developed to pair internal unit names with the UAB brand. The Internal unit logos depart from past iterations in that they provide top billing to the units with which familiar audiences are most aligned. Internal unit logos cannot be used externally.
Internal unit logos are limited to internal units that provide services to faculty and staff.

Athletics Logos
Blaze and Blazer logos are registered trademarks and are reserved for use by the UAB Athletic Department. The Blaze Head logo should never appear with or replace the UAB Monogram. If you need these marks please complete the form below.
Core Logos
The core UAB logo — monogram + wordmark — is available in three versions: standard, centered, and extreme horizontal.
