Lee Meadows, PhD, is a science educator in UAB School of Education's Department of Curriculum and Instruction. A teacher at heart, he has taught high school chemistry, physics, and physical science, and college chemistry, general teaching methods, and science methods. In his UAB work, he focuses on science teacher preparation and science education reform.

Dr. Meadows guides teachers to build their skills for teaching inquiry-based science so that students develop deep understandings of science that they can apply to everyday life. He also works to build support for science teachers and is particularly interested in building strong K-12 school science programs. He’s the author of The Missing Link: An Inquiry Based Approach for Teaching Evolution to All Students.
