University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology, has been given the prestigious designation of Rising Star by the Association of Psychological Science.
Aaron Fobian, Ph.D., assistant professor in theThe honor seeks to recognize early career Ph.D. scientists who have conducted groundbreaking research and show potential in their future research endeavors that will further the field of psychology.
APS Rising Stars must be nominated by one APS member and one APS fellow. Since the designation is for Ph.D. scientists in the beginning stages of their lines of research, nominees must have received their doctoral degrees within the past five years and have significant publications, recognitions or discoveries.
“It is an incredible honor to be recognized for my research in behavioral interventions and pediatric disorders as a ‘Rising Star,’” Fobian said. “I hope my work will continue to assist the physical improvement and psychological well-being of children and adolescents.”
