Support Day of Caring on June 25 and help UAB fight pandemic

UAB asks donors to support any of its emergency response funds to meet the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

Giving2The University of Alabama at Birmingham needs your help Thursday, June 25, for Day of Caring, an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

Donations may be made on the Day of Caring website, uab.edu/dayofcaring. UAB asks donors to support any of its funds:

  • The Coronavirus Response Support Fund supports research for a COVID-19 treatment or vaccine.  
  • The Student COVID-19 Emergency Fund provides emergency aid to students in all colleges and schools facing lost wages, relocation expenses, decrease in financial support from parents and more due to the pandemic. 
  • The Benevolent Fund assists UAB faculty and staff in need, including those affected by the pandemic, through Blazer Kitchen and emergency aid.
  • The COVID-19 Symptom Tracker supports the growth and expansion of COVID-19 data collection and management through the COVID-19 Symptom Tracker website, as well as future efforts to connect with ground-based collection in affected communities.
