Sign up by March 20.UAB is getting ready to “Win As One” when the annual Birmingham Corporate Challenge returns to Railroad Park April 13. This year, UAB and UAB Medicine employees will compete as one team for the first time, taking on teams from more than 25 Birmingham-area corporations.

The annual outdoor fun day features friendly competition for participants of all skill levels — from natural competitors to couch potatoes. Participation in the 1-mile Fitness Walk, 5K Run, 10K Bike Stroll and Jump Rope Contest is open to all employees; the more participants, the more points Team UAB earns.

Competitive events like Dodgeball, Basketball, Rock Climbing and others, have limited rosters chosen by Team UAB captains and points are awarded for first, second and third place.
UAB employees are invited to bring their families and leashed pets to cheer for Team UAB. A family-fun zone will be set up for children, food and ice cream will be available for purchase throughout the day, and UAB will have a tent with water and snacks for participants and their families.
Ahead of the daylong competition April 13, UAB employees can earn points by participating in Thursday night bike rides hosted by Redemptive Cycles or by donating to Redemptive Cycles through the UAB Benevolent Fund. Three events are scheduled earlier in the week — a golf challenge at Highland Park and the 10K Bike Stroll April 11 and a bowling challenge at Vestavia Bowl April 12.
