The UAB Employee Assistance & Counseling Center has added life coaching services to its diverse lineup of programs for UAB employees.
The new service is designed to help clients identify and achieve personal goals related to career, healthy lifestyle, time-management or any area of life in which greater success is sought, said Director Tami Long, PhD.
“If you are looking for strategies for self-improvement, which can help you achieve your fullest potential, your EACC life coach will partner with you in your endeavor to become your best self yet,” Long said.
Life-coaching is forward-looking and focuses on planning and building skills to achieve results.
EACC’s board-certified life coaches assist with plan development and provide support and accountability throughout the process. While counseling services address emotional issues and past experiences with a focus on healing, life-coaching is forward-looking and focuses on planning and building skills to achieve results.
UAB and UAB Medicine employees and members of their immediate households are eligible for up to 12 free life-coaching sessions a year. Sessions are available in person at the EACC office in Five Points or by phone or computer using distance software.
