A scholarly community of inquiry will begin Jan. 23 to address faculty needs for online and blended education at UAB. The series continues monthly through June.

The Jan. 23 workshop session will discuss “Preparing On-line/Blending Learning Courses: Enhancing Interaction thru Visuals and Media.” The workshop will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Education Building Room 238 T3. Lunch will be provided.

All workshop sessions are sponsored by UAB Instructional Technology and the Office of the Associate Provost for Faculty Development and Affairs.

Feb. 13, Preparing on-line/ Blended Courses: Building community and engaging the student.

March 5, Online/ Blended Learning Teaching Presence: Methods of assuring the integrity of student work.

April 16, Online/ Blended Learning Teaching Presence: Understanding Turnitin and Respondus reports

May 14, Online/ Blended Learning Teaching Presence: Approaches to providing student feedback and support learning

June 18, Preparing on-line/ Blended Courses: managing the workload in the online environment.
