Best thing you've ate in Birmingham?Absolutely the Tonkotsu Ramen and the Dragon Roll at Ikko's. I ate there for my birthday with some friends, and I highly recommend it for a good meal and fun memories with your friends.
Biggest college/adult related fear you have overcome at UAB?I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to make friends coming into school. I was an out-of-state student who didn't know anyone, and it was overwhelming to say the least. I decided that I would introduce myself to 10 people every day for the first two weeks of school, and it helped me to make friends in my classes and extracurriculars. What helped me the most to make friends was remembering that everyone around me was as nervous as I was and making an effort to talk to them would help me as much as it would help them.
Something I am looking forward to at UAB is...Starting research. When I graduate, I want to become a Clinical Neuropsychologist, and research is an important part of that career. I am starting in a Clinical Psychology lab in the fall, and I can't wait to learn, research, and present at UAB.
