• Create Blazer ID

    Visit BlazerID Central to create your BlazerID and password. You will be eligible to establish your BlazerID and password one day after your admissions date which appears on the top of your admission letter.
  • B-Alert at UAB

    Complete the B-Alert Information Form. You will need your BlazerID and password to access this form.
  • Needed Immunizations

    Carefully read the Immunization Policy and submit proof of required vaccinations. For questions about immunizations, please contact Student Health and Wellness at (205) 934-3581.
  • Meet Your Academic Advisor

    Meet with your assigned departmental academic advisor to discuss course selection. You can find contact information for your advisor in BlazerNET by clicking on the Student tab, then clicking Student – Status at a Glance. If you do not see information listed, please contact your department directly.

  • Get Registered for Classes

    Log in to BlazerNET using your BlazerID and password. Click on the Student tab, then Registration, then Look Up Classes to view the class schedule and register.
  • Check Dates & Deadlines

    Consult the Academic Calendar for important registration dates and payment deadlines. For more information regarding estimated tuition and payments, visit When to Pay.
  • Health Insurance

    Refer to the policy on Insurance & Waivers to determine what action to take regarding health insurance. For questions about insurance, please contact Student Health and Wellness at (205) 934-3581.
  • UAB ONE Card

    Obtain a UAB ONE Card which will serve as your student ID card and is required in order to obtain a parking permit, meal, BlazerBucks, door access, and other services at UAB. Order a Parking Permit if you would like to park on campus.

 
*Students wishing to defer their admission should submit the Request to Defer Admission by the following deadlines: December 1 (if deferring to the spring semester), May 1 (if deferring to the summer semester), and August 1 (if deferring to the fall semester). The program director’s signature must be included before the Graduate School can make any changes.
