Patrice Knight, M.D., longtime regional chair of Pediatrics at the UAB Heersink School of Medicine Huntsville Regional Medical Campus, passed away Feb. 2, 2022. Knight retired from the campus in 2020 after 35 years of service.
Medical students honored their outstanding mentors, professors, courses, and course directors at the annual Argus Awards Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 5.

Last winter, Azim Merchant, MS4, organized a Winter Coat Drive in Huntsville and donated over 450 pieces of winter clothing to Huntsville Community of Hope.

Steffane Battle, M.D., has been named the chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the UAB School of Medicine’s Huntsville Regional Medical Campus. She will begin her role on April 1. 

Internationally recognized physician scientist Richard C. Shelton, M.D. is joining the Huntsville Regional Medical Campus  as its first-ever director of research, a new position to help establish clinical investigation and clinical trials in Huntsville.
