Fall day camps are back at UAB Campus Recreation Center

  • October 04, 2019
Fall day camps at UAB provide working parents child care opportunities while school is out of session.

FallCamps1For students, school breaks are an exciting time. But for working parents, finding child care options can be stressful. This fall, the University of Alabama at Birmingham Campus Recreation Center is providing parents a fun and educational opportunity for their children while school is out of session.

UAB day camps are designed for parents who have to work while their children are out of school. Children have the opportunity to explore adventure sports, create exciting crafts, dive into aquatic activities or participate in anything else Campus Recreation has to offer, all under one roof. The camp schedule is from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and is available to children 5-12 years of age. Snacks are provided, but campers need to provide their own lunch. The cost per day for UAB affiliates is $40 per child, and $50 for non-UAB affiliates.

The dates for the 2019 fall day camps are:

  • Columbus Day: Oct. 14
  • Veterans Day: Nov. 11
  • Thanksgiving break: Nov. 25-27

Registration for all camps close one week prior to the camp date, and campers will need to have a registration form completed. To download a new camper form, click here.
