Dr. Grubbs is a Professor in the
School of Nutrition Sciences, and serves as director of the Chemoprevention
Center of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He has significant
expertise in the field of animal models development and testing
of novel chemopreventive compounds. He has extensive basic science
and translational research experience in the field of chemoprevention.
He will assist in the development and implementation of clinical
protocols.
Dr. Grubbs will also act as a
mentor for the Career Development Program. He has experience in
chemoprevention drug development, preclinical in vitro
and in vivo chemoprevention models, surrogate endpoint
biomarkers (cytomorphometrics, tumor suppressor genes, oncogenes,
growth factors, HPV infection) and clinical trial implementation
and completion.
