Accessing Library Resources & Services during the UAB Holiday Closure
The UAB Campus will be closed Monday, December 24, 2012-Tuesday, January 1, 2013 for the Christmas holiday. This closure will include Lister Hill Library, the Patient Resource Library at The Kirklin Clinic (TKC PRL), as well as Lister Hill Library at University Hospital (LHL@UH). All will be closed December 22nd January 1st. Sterne Library will also be closed.
LHL reference librarians will be checking email daily through the web form at ereference. Also, online resources will be available through the library's website at Homepage. Books will not be due during this time period but any books can be returned to the book drops. ILL services will be unavailable during this week, but the new Get It Now service will be available throughout the holiday.
TKC PRL visitors will be able to use the email form listed above and can also complete paper requests at the TKC to be answered when the library reopens on January 2nd. They may also return books they have checked out from the TKC PRL. No books will have due dates within the period the library is closed.
LHL@UH is accessible 24/7 to those with direct patient-care responsibilities who have applied for access via the library. If you have not had your badge activated, please see the LHL@UH library staff by December 1, 2012 to request access. Information requests may be submitted via the web form listed above, and all electronic library resources will be accessible via www.uab.edu/lhluh.
