Are you currently experiencing a gout flare?

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how anakinra relieves pain for patients with acute gout that cannot take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and colchicine. Anakinra is an FDA-approved medication used to treat symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.

You may qualify for this study if you:

  • Are age 18 or older
  • Have experienced no pain relief from, or are unable to take, medications commonly used to treat gout
  • Experience gout in four or fewer joints

Study participants will receive the study medication and all study-related care at no cost. You may also be reimbursed for travel expenses.
