We are dedicated to not only providing exceptional patient care but also nurturing the minds of future health care leaders and driving the frontiers of discovery. This commitment highlights our responsibility to society and serves as a guiding light for our actions.
Aligned with this mission is our new vision, which establishes an inspiring trajectory for the UAB Heersink School of Medicine. We aspire to lead the way in making a global impact by embracing innovation in patient care, advancing transformative discoveries, and promoting an environment of collaborative teaching and learning. Our vision challenges us to aim high and work together toward a future where our contributions positively impact the world.
Notably, our mission and vision are in alignment with the newly announced UAB Medicine Strategic Plan. Earlier this month, the UAB Medicine Strategic Plan was rolled out in a series of town halls. Created with input from thousands of staff and faculty, as well as over 60 planning sessions, the plan incorporates a roadmap that outlines goals, objectives, and action steps. As an integral part of UAB Medicine, we are positioned to contribute significantly to the strategic objectives, leveraging our strengths and expertise to propel the organization forward. Additionally, our mission and vision are aligned with our own research strategic plan and accompanying focus areas.
Efforts to align not only demonstrate our commitment to broader organizational goals but also highlight the interconnectedness of our collective efforts.
