BIRMINGHAM, AL — Ernie Gauld, M.B.A., director of the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Small Business Development Center at the UAB School of Business, has been elected chairman of the Birmingham Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Week Committee for 2003.
The committee is charged with planning events for the chamber’s Small Business Week in May, as well as selecting the small businessperson of the year and planning the recognition dinner for the nominees and winner.
In addition to being director of the UAB SBDC, Gauld is on the chamber’s Hispanic community relations committee. He also has been associate director of the Alabama Small Business Development Consortium.
