BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -  The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) EatRight Weight Management Program will hold a Clothes Swap to help clients who have lost weight rebuild their wardrobe with right-sized clothing. Participants in EatRight programs can trade in old clothes that no longer fit for an equal number of items donated by others. Any clothing left over after the swap will be donated to local charities. "This is especially helpful for those who are still losing weight and don't want to spend a lot of money on temporary clothing," said Jamy Ard, M.D., medical director of the EatRight program. "We encourage patients to get rid of old, larger clothing to help them psychologically transition to their new image." Jewelry, shoe and accessory vendors also will be on hand.

The swap will take place Wednesday, May 12 from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the first floor lobby of the Webb Nutrition Sciences Building, 1675 University Blvd.

The swap is presented by the UAB EatRight Weight Management Program, a comprehensive program to help participants better manage their weight and overall health.
