The UA System Scholars Institute 2012
Join us for the fifth annual UA System Scholars Institute, hosted at UAB May 22-23, as we address these challenges and how the application of technologies can have a positive impact on effective teaching and successful learning. As we continue the Institute’s mission to foster the growth, depth of knowledge and application of the benefits of instructional technology, Day 1 will focus on presentations that have an emphasis on quality, evidence of impact, tools, and pedagogical and practical approaches, with time for collaboration and knowledge sharing at the evening event. Day 2 will provide hands-on opportunities where you can practice using the tools, learn how to implement the tools, or how to help build a community of learners in class or online. Additionally, several of our education/corporate partners will be holding presentations as part of the concurrent session schedule. And, new for this year, join us on the web live for Day 1, May 22, 2012! While the onsite event is open only to UA System faculty and staff, the Day 1 keynote and several concurrent sessions will be broadcast via the web and open to all.
