The "Quick Guide to Coagulation Testing", Second Edition, is a quick-access, readily available pocket reference for health practitioners who order, collect, perform, or interpret hemostasis laboratory test results or administer hemostasis-related therapy.
The Guide outlines the most common hemorrhagic and thrombotic conditions together with their respective assays to emphasize correct laboratory evaluation. Treatment discussions include the prophyslactic and therapeutic application of non-biological, synthetic, and human blood-derived components to control bleeding, and the use of antithrombotics designed to prevent or resolve arterial and venous occlusions.
