Specimen |
Collect three (3) blue-stopper tubes (3.2% sodium citrate), filled to specified volume. Do not underfill or overfill. Test must performed on freshly collected whole blood. Call lab prior to collecting specimen at 205-934-8650

Description |
Platelet aggregometry is used to detect congenital or acquired platelet deficiencies such as storage pool disorder, release disorder, von Willebrand disease, or platelet membrane abnormalities. Aggregometry uses the agonists collagen, thrombin, arachidonic acid and ADP. |
