Med people UABDiversity and Inclusion efforts were formalized at the UAB School of Medicine in 2013, with the creation of the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. The following year, the goals of the office were advanced through the appointment of Mona Fouad, MD, MPH, to the position of Senior Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion. Since that time, the School of Medicine Office for Diversity and Inclusion has worked to advance their vision and mission by working in concert with Dean Selwyn Vickers, the Office for Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, and the individual departments within the School of Medicine.
