McClintock named new director of the UAB Office of the IRB

Adam McClintock has been named director of the UAB Office of the Institutional Review Board for Human Use (IRB) following a national search. McClintock recently served as the human research protections manager for OhioHealth Research & Innovation Institute, and as the operations manager in the Office of Responsible Research Practices at The Ohio State University.
Ryan Mantooth, M.D., resident in the Department of Emergency Medicine, recently received a perfect score on the In-Training Examination taken by residents annually across all specialties.
UAB Student National Medical Association chapter celebrates several group and individual achievements

The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is the oldest and largest independent, student-run organization focused on the needs and concerns of black medical students in the United States. Five members from UAB’s SNMA chapter recently attended the 55th Annual Medical Education Conference (AMEC) April 17-21 in Philadelphia, PA.
