Mission: Create an exceptional environment for pain research at UAB School of Medicine to facilitate success in obtaining extramural pain research funding, to enhance the ability of interdisciplinary groups to making breakthrough discoveries in cellular molecular mechanisms of pain, and to facilitate translation of basic research findings into effective treatments of intractable pain in patients.
