Sejong Bae, PhD is a Professor in the Division Of Preventive Medicine, Co-Director of the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Shared Facility in the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center and Deputy Director of the Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults Coordinating Center (CARDIA). He is a biostatistician with over 15 years of experience. He is Co-Leader in biostatics core in various projects including the U54 Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) /Tuskegee University/UAB CCC partnership, P50 SPORE in Cervical Cancer, U54 Mid-South Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center for Health Disparities Research, U54 National Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center for African American Men’s Health and others. He has advised and assisted in developing study design, calculating sample size, analyzing statistical data, and writing manuscripts. In addition, in data management and quality control, he has guided development of Case Report Forms, standard operating procedures, data edits, range, logic checks and other data quality control steps. His areas of research interest include outcomes research, health disparities, biomarker discovery, clinical trials, survival analysis, statistical computing, cancer epidemiology, multistate cancer modeling, chronic disease modeling, and aging. |
