Jiang (JoAnn) Lan, Ed.D., has been elected to the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) Board of Directors.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Jiang (JoAnn) Lan, Ed.D., has been elected to the International Society of Technology in Education (ISTE) Board of Directors.

The ISTE is the leading organization of education technology professionals. The organization is dedicated to promoting appropriate uses of information technology to support and improve learning, teaching and administration in K-12 education and teacher education.

Lan directs the Office of Academic Computing and Technology at the UAB School of Education. She is a member of the national advisory board for PBS TeacherLine, a program which provides professional development for current and future teachers in the areas of mathematics and technology. She also is former chairman of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education Committee on Technology.
