The Alys Stephens Center will present two shows by Hubbard Street 2 Dance Company Nov. 6-7 plus a matinee show for families Nov. 8.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Alys Stephens Center will present two shows by Hubbard Street 2 Dance Company Nov. 6-7 plus a matinee show for families Nov. 8 in the center, 1200 10th Ave. South, Birmingham.

Hubbard Street 2 (HUB2) is a company of seven dancers, ages 17-25, which performs works by some of the nation's most promising young choreographers. Fans cite their fresh, bold, high-energy performances. HUB2 is leading the way of new dance with a distinctive repertoire reflecting influences from ballet to hip-hop to improvisation.

Hubbard Street 2 Dance Company will perform at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6-7. On the program are "The Restless," "Gimme," "Glass Skin," "Sight Unseen," "Diphthong" and more. HUB2 is applauded across the country for its multi-layered educational outreach activities that expose students of all backgrounds to dance.
