Alison Chapman, associate professor of English in the School of Arts & Humanities, is the winner of the 2007 Frederick W. Conner Prize in the History of Ideas for the essay, “Marking Time: Astrology, Almanacs and English Protestantism.”

Chapman’s presentation of her winning essay is scheduled Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 3:30 p.m. in the Lister Hill Library Ireland Room. A brief award ceremony and a reception are planned, and UAB colleagues are invited to attend.
